We are just back from Oireachtas na Samhna which took place in Citywest this year. Not having been held in Dublin for the last 20 years, it was high time that it came back to the capital. It was such a joy to be immersed in traditional Irish culture with thousands of other people from all over the country. Sean-nós singing and dancing, storytelling and lúibíní were the order of the day, from dawn til dusk. We're happy to say that the much-coveted and prestigious trophy for sean-nós singing, Corn Uí Riada, was won by one of our own from Conamara.
