Stillwater Communications

Media Training

"Equipping professional rugby players to deal with pressurised media situations is not an easy feat, Stillwater Communications managed to convey readily digestible strategies which have helped our players focus on their playing without worrying whether they say the right thing in all kinds of public situations whilst at the same time delivering IRFU messages helping to promote the game. It was a really beneficial exercise. I recommend Stillwater Communications warmly without reservation."

Padraig Power IRFU, Commercial & Marketing Director

Stillwater Communications offers individually tailored media training to help individuals and organisations maximise their media appearances.

Media training clients learn how to identify their target audiences, engage with the print and broadcast media, and answer difficult questions from journalists.

Following media training, participants are able to deliver coherent and memorable messages to their audience.

As part of the media training process, participants’ performances are reviewed through the recording of practice media interviews and the provision of feedback.

Topics covered in the Media Training workshop include:

  • an introduction to the media
  • establishing your objective
  • finding your story
  • preparing well-structured messages
  • how to engage with the media
  • how to connect with your audience
  • how to dress and look good
