“Say what you mean, mean what you say.”
Sheena Madden is Senior Account Manager with Stillwater Communications where she has worked with clients such as Plan International Ireland, Charities Institute Ireland, Optimise Design and Senator Joan Freeman in areas ranging from strategising and crisis communications to public relations and event management.
Prior to joining Stillwater, Sheena was a Press Officer with RTÉ, Ireland’s public service media organisation. She has worked on communications campaigns for some of the major social and political events in Ireland over the past decade, such Ireland’s General Elections in 2011 and 2016, the Presidential Election in 2011, RTÉ’s coverage of the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland and the Marriage Equality Referendum in 2015.
Sheena is also an award-winning documentary producer and journalist. Her radio documentary for RTÉ’s Documentary on One was awarded two silver medals at the 2016 New York Festivals Radio Awards. This year, she is serving as a member of the Grand Jury judging panel at the Festival. She has written for publications such as The Irish Times, RTE.ie, The Globe and Mail, The Dubliner and Totally Dublin as well as culture and music specific magazines such as Irish Theatre Magazine.
She has a degree in Journalism, diplomas in PR and Event Management, a professional diploma in Human Rights and Equality Studies and a certificate in Data Protection Law.
If she had her way, Sheena would have been born into 1920s New York and performed in the Ziegfeld Follies. It didn’t quite work out that way, so she dances her little legs off at gigs around Dublin to all the wonderful live music the city has to offer. She has an impressive collection of red lipsticks.
