About this project

Generation SunSmart is a programme that will see 4,000 primary school children across Co. Sligo learn about being safe in the sun. The programme is being led by Selene Daly, Dermatology Nurse Specialist at Sligo University Hospital, who will travel to all primary schools in Sligo between April and June 2016 to teach the children the 5 S’s of Sun Safety – SLIP, SLOP, SLAP, SLIDE, SHADE! Every child will receive a special UV legionnaire hat sponsored by Irish skincare brand Elave, which they will be encouraged to wear outdoors while at school between March 1st and September 30th.

Stillwater’s role was to promote the campaign both nationally and locally in Sligo. Generation SunSmart coverage included the Irish Times, Irish Daily Mail, Irish Examiner, Irish Daily Star, Sligo local print and broadcast, and culminated in a report from Sligo on RTÉ Six One News.
